WEN v. Salon Grafix Cleansing Conditioner

I’ve been trying different cleansing conditioners to try to find something comparable to WEN 613 due to the expensive price tag.  I bought Salon Grafix Cleansing Conditioner in Moroccan Macadamia scent for $7.99 at Walgreen’s for 12 ounces.  The Citrus Creme scent was $9.99 although I’m not sure why there was a price difference since neither item was on sale at the time.  Salon Grafix has a thicker consistency than I expected, although not as thick as WEN.   I also feel that it has similar cleansing properties as WEN 613.  The tag on the bottle says if you like WEN you’ll Love Salon Grafix Healthy Hair Nutrition.

I found that I used more pumps of Salon Grafix than recommended, 12 pumps to wash instead of 4 to 8 pumps, because it was not as thick and a lesser amount comes out per pump as compared to WEN 613.  The photo is of one pump of WEN 613 and one pump of Salon Grafix.  This is due to the size of the bottles since WEN is 16 ounces and in a taller bottle than the 12 ounce Salon Grafix bottle.

When used as a leave in Salon Grafix did detangle my hair well and it left my hair soft.  Although Salon Grafix is not as thick as WEN, it does not run at all.  I put both products on top of my hand.  My hair wasn’t necessarily dirty so I can’t say Salon Graphix gets all of the product build up out since I only had WEN 613 as a leave in and aloe serum on my hair it for the last 2 days after a wash with Ren by Renpure Solutions.

As of now, I will purchase Salon Grafix again.  If you have not tried WEN then I do think you may like Salon Grafix; however, you will notice a difference if going from WEN to Salon Grafix.  I am looking for an all in one product that can shampoo, condition, deep condition, detangle and be used as a leave in.  So far it looks like Salon Grafix can fit the bill.  I still can’t decide what it smells like.  It’s not floral and it’s sort of a sweet smell but not like perfume.  It smells clean to me but not like a disinfectant or anything negative.  Hubby says it smells like potpourri although I don’t really agree with that either but I do like the smell.
