Moroccan Argan Oil – Eco Styler Gel

So, I finally broke down and tried Eco Styler Moroccan Argan Oil gel on my natural hair.  I did not have a great experience with the Olive Oil Eco Styler which left my hair crunchy and with no movement.  Well, lo and behold, this argan oil version did not leave my hair crunchy like the olive oil version and it was also not as sticky.  The Argan oil gel did not leave a coating on my hands after applying.  I ended up with lots of hold and movement!  See the video below.

I don’t really do wash & go styles since my hair shrinks so much, but I do wet twist out styles to show more length.

To get this style, I washed and conditioned my hair in the shower.  I used TRESemmé Naturals Shampoo and TRESemmé  Naturals Conditioner and then I applied my homemade leave-in conditioner (aloe vera juice, castor oil, jojoba oil & favorite conditioner).  Next, I applied the gel section by section, combing it through with my seamless comb, and then I twisted each section.  My hair is 4a and fine.

To help my hair dry a bit faster and without as much frizz, I used an old t-shirt as a turban.  I put on my bonnet for bed and then untwisted my hair the next morning, before my workout.  I ended up with lots of movement but also a good hold.  I am going to try this style a few more times to see if I get consistent results.  So far I really like the Eco Styler Argan Oil gel!

If you use this gel, let me know how you use it and tell me your results!
