CORNROWS – Protective Hairstyle

I found this cornrow, silky dread & two strand twist style and decided that I had to have it done, but that I did not want to travel to Connecticut.  I had never worn cornrows or braids in my adult life until this style.

I found a local braider that could duplicate the style for me and with the front styled like a second photo I located. This style should lasted for a month, although hubby said that I’d take it down 2 weeks or less since I usually wash my hair a few times per week.

I was trying to get away from manipulating my hair everyday so I really focused on keeping this style in for one month.  In the end I had the cornrows in for 20 days.

The next time I have it done, I will get the bun larger, more like the bun in the photo. I will also make sure to ask that only one color of hair is used. The hair was supplied by the salon and it looks like #2 and #1b were used.

All in all I was happy with the style and would have this style done a second time in the future.
