Sweet Buttah Curl Prep Wash & Go

I tried a Wash & Go on my hair using Curl Prep Sweet Buttah after seeing a stylist do a demonstration of the product at the Let Your Hair Down Hair Expo in Brooklyn.  I paid $15 for an 8 ounce jar.  I filmed it here: http://youtu.be/EMWwuqs4xm0  The funny thing is I’ve had a 1/2 ounce sample of Sweet Buttah for about 18 months since it was part of the swag bag for the first natural hair show I attended.  I was a hair model for Sabine’s Hallway wearing a bantu knot mohawk.  I posted about it at the time.  For some reason I did not use the full sample of Sweet Buttah although I know I used it since I found one of my curly shed hairs inside the jar.  I think I tried it on one two strand twist and I was trying out so many new products at the time that I never went back to it.  Well, lo and behold Sweet Buttah and I crossed paths again.

I followed the instructions as shown during the demonstration and I raked the product through soaking wet hair.  It was much like I apply Eco Styler but without the weird feeling film on my hands.

So far so good.  My hair is very shiny and bouncy.  I know it will grow over the course of the next week and I plan to take pictures as it grows.  My hair feels moisturized and hopefully it will stay that way for a few days.  I don’t plan to reapply product but will probably need to at least mist my hair in the mornings and shake it out before work.
