Havana Twists update

I have not posted an update in a while but I am back in Havana twists.  I’ve been having them install for two months at a time since last fall.  This set is a little smaller than I prefer but they still look nice.  I had 33 twists the first time and they have gotten progressively smaller for each install.  I’m using fingercomber hair, which I’ve been able to reuse twice per install.  I’ve started to cut the ends, which isn’t a good idea if you plan to reuse the hair, but I do it anyway.

I’ve been washing my hair with my Chagrin Valley shampoo bars.  I made a blog post about them a while ago.  I’ve been using the stocking cap method that I posted on my YouTube channel here: http://youtu.be/2e1k_wB3zTM

I spray my Havana twists each day (or night) with a mixture of braid spray and hair strengthener.  They are super easy for travel.  I only need to pack a travel sized spray bottle.

All in all this is the easiest braid style I’ve worn since I started using braid extensions.  I prefer them a bit firm but I have seen Havana twists style where they were more puffy.

If you try this style, let me know how you like it.
