Crochet Braids with water wave synthetic hair

Crochet braids have been my style of choice so far for 2014 – 2015.  I’ve used water wave synthetic hair for a while since it matches my flat twist out pattern.  My styles have taken 3 packs of hair each time, separated into 3 – 4 pieces before installing.

I started with a shorter crochet style but then moved on to a longer style that I could put in a ponytail.  I’ve kept the style in for 8 – 10 weeks each time.  It’s such an easy style and something that I can do on my own although I’ve used braiders in the past to install the cornrow base.

I may venture out to using Marley hair soon but for now water wave is working for me.

While in crochet braids I moisturize my hair with S-Curl and I also use Infusium 23 and an oil mix on my scalp.  I wash my hair with shampoo bars and use a rinse out conditioner.  I avoid leaving any conditioner in my hair in an attempt to avoid build up.  I’m still using GVP Detangler from Sally’s to take down my crochet styles.  So far this routine is working well for me.  After my next removal, I plan to get a trim of about 1/2 – 1 full inch to clean up my ends.
